Far Niente, located in Napa Valley, was founded in 1885 by John Benson, a forty-niner of the California gold rush and uncle of the famous American impressionist painter, Winslow Homer. In 1979, Gil Nickel purchased the winery. Today, almost 40 years later, Far Niente has expanded their offerings to include, not only their renowned chardonnay, cabernet and dolce, but also their EnRoute winery, which produces Russian River pinot noir. This will be a special event, featuring wines from the entire portfolio led by Eric Penny from the winery. The evening will focus on their single-vineyard designated wine, Nickel & Nickel cabernet, Far Niente, EnRoute, their newest venture, Bella Union and finish with their legendary Dolce for dessert.
